Previously Sam posted a preview of the track on their Instagram story. They also sent a snippet of the first verse to some fans on the same day.

The song has a catchy, emphatic beat that stays with the listener. The lyric deals with the subject of low self-esteem and overcoming self-hatred to achieve a more positive outlook, but does so with a subtle hint of humour and self-mockery.

Two subsequent acoustic versions, one with piano accompaniment and the other guitar have been received positively on social media.
