223’s was first teased on Instagram on July 12, 2022, through a screenshot of a text conversation on his story where wxst confirmed that he received the verse from Michigan rapper BabyTron, also teasing that this would be part of BACK IN ACTION 3.0. Following this up, wxst then posted a twenty-four second snippet to TikTok on August 6, 2022, allowing fans a taste of what the final release should sound like.
