Lil Rubbi – Black Hearted Lyrics
Black Hearted Lyrics By Lil Rubbi
On “Black Hearted,” the only song on My Story that is categorized as hip-hop/rap, Rubbi raps over a smooth, relaxing instrumental while revealing that he is tired of peer pressure, and is looking to make a change through being a musician.
The track was released on October 7, 2022, serving as the lead single from My Story. This would also be the only single from My Story to be released due to the low number of tracks on the entire project.
Unlike the other songs on My Story, “Black Hearted” was not leaked beforehand. However, we do know that “Black Hearted” was originally recorded in a school bathroom, before he made changes to the song about a week after.
Two weeks after My Story was released, the demo track for “Black Hearted,” and all of the other songs’ demos, were leaked via YouTube and SoundCloud.
[Chorus]
Working hard, so I can get me a bag
My dawgs understanding me, so I don’t gotta brag
I’m locked in the booth where I never get mad
Got a black heart, but that don’t mean I’m sad
Working hard, so I can get me a bag
My dawgs understanding me, so I don’t gotta brag
I’m locked in the booth where I never get mad
Got a black heart, but that don’t mean I’m sad
[Verse]
All day, all night, I’m writing my raps
I don’t fit in ’cause of the gaps
Feeling like I’m ’bout to relapse
Feeling like I’m ’bout to collapse
Take it to the max, get all the plaques, then I can relax
Never happеned, I don’t have an impact, I don’t make a diffеrence in a pack
No one’s here to help me, so I can’t take a few gasps
With depression, I feel like I’m being harassed
I miss all the laughs, yeah, yeah
I miss all the romance, yeah, yeah
Would you give me another chance?
I think I’m going in the wrong path, yeah, yeah
