“Never Tried” is the fourteenth track off of Hayden Forbes’ debut album A Musician’s Nature.

Cited as Hayden’s favorite song on the record, this song is a two-part ballad. The first half features Eau Claire artist Emm K on vocals and guitar. This half tells the story of a fictional relationship as it grows and decays. This also features Hayden singing which is the only time this occurs on the album. The second half is strictly just Hayden rapping. He reveals the song is actually about a past relationship he had in high school and the struggle of his life involving her after the breakup.
