“Slave Master” plays off the use of the word ‘whip’ the song’s hook. Cars are often referred to as ‘whips’ in hip-hop, and Future claims he has a new whip “like I’m a slave master,” since slave masters would use the weapon on slaves.

The play on words is very clever, and seems to be a tongue and cheek reference to the racial tension building in America, since Future also references Eric Garner’s last words in the track “I Serve the Base”.
