On November 2nd, 2022, the cover art and release date were released by Kevin Abtract via Twitter. On November 3rd, Kevin Abstract released a snippet of the song’s music video set in New York City.

The track features vocals from only Kevin Abstract, a departure from the group’s usual tag-team song structure. “Big Pussy” marks Abstract’s 2nd solo track in the group’s discography, following “SOMETHING ABOUT HIM”“ from the group’s 2018 album iridescence.

On the song, Abstract discusses topics like the group’s untimely breakup and the pressure he faces from fans and the label alike.
