Pink Heartz is SoFaygo’s debut studio album and his second release of 2022, following his December 2020 EP, After Me. This marks his third project to be released through Cactus Jack Records and is executively produced by Travis Scott.
Faygo first teased the release of the album via his Twitter on May 11, 2021, with the following caption:
this album gon b an out of body experience . 👽
After had keeping quiet about the album, on April 13, 2022, SoFaygo took to Instagram to reveal that the album will be coming soon. Alongside that, he also posted him in a whiteboard writing the album’s tracklist. Based on the screenshot, Gunna is revealed to be a part of the album.
A screenshot seen on Faygo’s Instagram story on May 7, 2022 sees a partial screenshot of the tracklist also confirms Ken Carson and Lil Uzi Vert features.
To help promote the album, on June 14, 2022, SoFaygo released B4PINK, a teaser EP to hype up fans for the release of Pink Heartz.
During an Instagram live session on July 15, 2022, SoFaygo confirmed to his fans that Pink Heartz was fully completed. Faygo also provided a small update on the album, via his Discord server, stating:
Pink Heartz is definitely dropping sooner than y’all think. It’s a lot going on right now. So, it’s just like, it’s all about timing right now, you feel what I’m saying?
On September 17, 2022, SoFaygo took to Instagram responding to his manager Lamar that alluded to him releasing the project in October, writing “10/??/22.”
On October 17, 2022, SoFaygo released the first four tracks off the album: “Blitz V2,” “Another One,” “Fasho,” and the highly anticipated “Hell Yeah” featuring Ken Carson. He took to Instagram once again to finally announce that the project would release on November 11.
After much anticipated waiting, on November 9, 2022, SoFaygo took to social media revealing the final tracklist for the album.
