My Story is the second studio album by American musician Lil Rubbi. It was released on October 28, 2022, almost five months after his debut studio album, Man Of The Year, was released.
The album was first announced as Swimming In Circles, which was supposed to serve as a tribute to Mac Miller as he made the announcement one day after the fourth anniversary of Mac’s death. However, to fit the overall theme of the project, Rubbi decided to rename it My Story. Then, on September 24, 2022, Rubbi announced that he was also working on two other projects, Welcome 2 My World and Colors. Unfortunately, these projects would end up being scrapped because Rubbi wanted to focus on My Story first.
On October 8, 2022, one day after the lead single, “Black Hearted” was released, Rubbi announced that My Story was officially complete. This would mean that instead of the project being released on December 9, 2022, two days after his fifteenth birthday, he would be eligible to release the project on October 28, 2022.
Luckily, this project would also pave the way for Rubbi’s musical career, according to his wishes.
