Bin Reaper 3: Old Testament is BabyTron’s eighth project, following his March 2022 project MegaTron—also marking the third installment in the Bin Reaper series. The title Bin Reaper is a play on Grim Reaper — a personification of death — with “Bin” being an initialism of bank identification number.
The first mention of Bin Reaper 3 would date back to June 24, 2022, when BabyTron took to Twitter in a now-deleted tweet to deem the project’s status as “loading”:

In a September 2022 interview with Lyrical Lemonade, BabyTron further touched up on the album, hinting at an October release date:
Yeah, at the end of October I’ma drop Bin Reaper 3. Usually though, my [albums] come out quick as hell, but this gon’ be like a eight, nine-month lil’ break. […] But lately, I been on tour and been doing all type of shit so, I haven’t been recording as much, but I’ma still try to fuck the world up in the end of the year, that’s the plan.
On September 19, 2022, Tron took to Instagram to reveal the greg gregg-designed cover art, further pushing an October release date.
